This part of Devon enjoys a mild climate, perfect for exploring the beautiful coastline with its miles of towering cliffs. There is excellent walking on the South West Coastal Path taking in Sidmouth, Branscombe and Beer. Exeter (with an array of shops and stunning cathedral) is a short drive. Exmouth is also popular - the River Exe being a favourite haunt of bird-watchers and a base for river cruises and fishing trips. Several golf clubs and NT properties in the area.
